I can remember, how I drifted out to sea on that black rubber ring. Dad, had to swim out to rescue me, I kept panicking and dad kept reassuring me that he could feel the seabed. I was so scared that there was a shark, so I started kicking about after falling through the ring. I felt something hard and I was adamant it was a shark. After dad got me back to shore, I ran towards mum and my sisters, brother and my daughter. I felt sharp, burning on both legs as the sand hit it, dad said I'd kicked a breaker and the barnacles had grazed both of my legs.

If it wasn't for dad's quick thinking, and being so calm, I don't think I'd be here now.
